“If I’m honest I have to tell you I still read fairy tales and I like them best of all.” -Audrey Hepburn.
Three words: woodland wedding inspiration. Those who know me can already tell that the butterflies in my stomach are going crazy over this styled shoot!
So many great vendors came together to bring this dream to a reality! Hannah’s Floral & Events brought life to this whimsical setting with faded blush roses and minted dusty miller flowing from each arrangement and over every place setting. One of my favorite elements has to be the Chantilly Cakes confection that is literally floating in the woods as if by fairie magic! Alright so maybe it was in fact the ropes of greenery and a stunning wooden chandelier base but in my head it was fairies. This was such a magical collaboration between the florist and the confectionery artist. They really created some wow moments! And all of this magic was captured by Rising Lotus Photography.
Now let’s talk fashion because there is plenty to quench your couture craving! This blush gown has beautiful beaded accents and the train is flowing with scattered petals in my two favorite shades of pink “Blush & Bashful”. I can’t resist! The true star of this ensemble is the Alexander McQueen inspired butterfly winged headpiece by Monstruosite. This shoot, to me, tells the story of a butterfly who, for one day, is given the chance to find her true love. She is transformed into this stunning woman roaming the woods until she stumbles upon this fairytale come true, complete with a handsome prince.
Find out at the end how Pea To Tree Events created a far away land filled with banquet tables overtaken by greenery, a floating four tier cake, and that magnificently magical butterfly headpiece.
From Pea to Tree Events, Because our creative team is based in Florida, our love of nature might be expected. But we designed this shoot for couples who savor entertaining and socializing outdoors. We looked at this forest of trees at Casa Lantana and saw an outdoor room, not just as a magical backdrop, but as an integral part of a wedding celebration.
We saw a place to live in, create memories and host a gathering of loved ones. The classic elements of a wedding day are presented in a unique way, with a hint of whimsy and in an unexpected location. Imagine the guests’ reactions to a multi-tiered cake suspended from a tree! Or how irresistible they’ll find the lushly decorated dessert table. Ever fancied having newlywed portraits taken while sitting on swing adorned in flowers? Yes, we’ve got you covered…covered in lots of pretty.
The blush, champagne and golden palette were chosen to complement the natural setting. Drawing inspiration from the woodland backdrop, the blush wedding gown features hand sewn petals along the train made to appear as if they are falling into the forest floor. The elements used throughout the shoot are a play of natural mixed with man-made and classic mixed with modern. For instance, bark pieces serve as a uniquely creative way to list food items and reference the organic setting. Candelabras atop the tablescapes are a nod to old world elegance, while the lounge area has a modern feel. The details were styled with a whimsical yet modern approach so prospective brides can envision the design possibilities from an elegant affair to something more extravagant. Speaking of extravagant, there’s a butterfly headpiece finished in 18KT gold leaf seen at New York Fashion Week.
