These snowy engagement photos are making me somewhat accept that it is in fact March and I am looking at snow falling right now. There is a season for everything right? Marnie and Nick had the perfect snow day for their engagement photos. They wandered through Marnie’s parents’ backyard and made this cold day look effortless. They are reminding me how beautiful the freshly fallen snow is and it’s the perfect opportunity to get your snuggle on. An outdoor fire, their cute pup, and the way these two look at each other, this is one darling engagement session. The Harris Co. captured it all, the results are two people so in love and one last reminder before we say goodbye to winter, of the beauty of snow.

From The Harris Co,

How did you meet?

We met at work, outside of Boston. We had gone to rival college; Siena and Iona in New York state. Nick had just finished his MBA and moved to Boston from New York City to take the job that we met at. I had been working at the company for a year and was helping train his group. He was living with his Grandma at the time, who doesn’t love a Grandma’s boy?

How would you describe your relationship?

We make each other laugh every day, no matter what. We started a new adventure together, we now live in Northern California and it has made us even closer and excited for the future. We love the same things – family, friends, our pets (Bo the dog and Twig the cat, both rescues), cooking and being competitive with each other.

What was the inspiration for your engagement session?

We were back east for the holidays, staying at my parent’s house near Saratoga Springs, NY and it was a very cold day and snowy so it wasn’t ideal to be walking around for a couple hours in Saratoga’s downtown district. My parents’ backyard is a magical place, we have shared so many laughs, stories, and fires there with family and friends, it seemed like the perfect place to showcase us. Our dog Bo also joined the shoot, but really just wanted to show off how big of a stick he could carry… he also loves the snow.

What are you looking forward to most about your wedding day?

We are looking forward to having the best day of our lives, no pressure. All we want is to enjoy our families and friends coming together, drink, eat, drink and dance! We just want to have the best time, and we know that our family and friends will make sure that happens..it will be day we will never forget!
