From the creative director Kristin Rockhill, The New Liberty Distillery, a ( super old ) newly renovated space that is perfect for the anti-ballroom bride. I love, love, love the vibe of this place, it’s city chic, meets industrial loft meets, whiskey distillery meets rustic horse barn! Located just a few miles from old city, this 3 level building with an interior courtyard is the perfect space for a small intimate wedding or event for 50 – 200. This event space is dripping with character, including secret alcoves, barn stalls and distillery equipment that create a gorgeous backdrop for photos and works best for a progressive dining experience.
I was so inspired by this space, I decided to plan a styled shoot with some very talented people! Because the venue was so dark and had so much wood, I decided to use vibrant lush blooms in oranges, pinks and rouge’s which truly popped in the space and created a spectacular backdrop for the shoot. I brought in lots of custom built distressed furniture, antique trucks and vintage decor compliments of Deb, at Y Knot Now, to create several vignettes in the space including a reception table, sweetheart table, bar and cake table. This look featured old and new, rustic elements and lots of bling which made for an eclectic look with a touch of whimsical charm.
The table setting is a mix of wood and denim chargers topped off with gray china, a silver napkin adorned with a jewel and a custom designed menu. The centerpiece started with a wooden runner that had wooden and silver jeweled candlesticks in various shapes and sizes and Eucalyptus weaved throughout to create an ethereal look.
More from the designer, Kristin Rockhill, "My favorite detail that you see infused throughout is the denim. Our bride looks stunning in her designer gown and denim jacket!!! Every aspect of the design has denim touches from the denim chargers and denim ribbon cascades to the denim jacket and denim flowers. Other custom touches that make this look come together include custom bow-ties by Danielle Parker and the gorgeous sketch of the bride and grooms attire created but Megan Hamilton!"
For the sweetheart table, we love the vintage love seat and an antique table that has a drawer overflowing with flowers. Above the table is super sweet repurposed wagon wheel chandelier.
