Today’s modern nautical wedding inspiration is a lovely mix of adorable anchors, beautiful chevron and pops of yellow. I was not surprised to see that the talented Jaclyn behind Jaclyn Watson Events perfectly executed this playful and sleek styled shoot together with design and styling as well as floral design by Sarah Jo from Creative Muse Floral Design. Take note if you’re planning a Lakeside wedding in Vermont look no further than the gorgeous Aurora House! A private rental that you can have all to yourself! Get ready to crave sunshine and dream of sipping Tom Collins dockside after you lay eyes on all the pretty captured by Paul Reynolds Photography.
From Jaclyn Watson Events, Love sets sail in this serene styled wedding by the lake! Lake Champlain is truly the gem of Vermont, and a perfect July day made it just the right backdrop for a sunny styled shoot in a crisp palette of navy, blue, and lemon yellow. Jackie and Sarah Jo styled the nautical inspired day at The Aurora House, a private lakeside rental home in Alburgh, Vermont, with the word ” classic” in mind. Clean lines and simple patterns with just the right touch of whimsical detailing brought the vision to life.
A vintage inspired swimsuit was perfect for a playful time on the seaplane dock and a quick ride to the marina made for some magical sail boat moments with the bride and groom. The classic lines of the Wtoo gown and an asymmetrical neckline allowed the bride’s timeless natural beauty to shine through- while the groom sported Dockers and a bow tie atop a shirt dotted with tiny anchors- the perfect play of classic and whimsy.
Details included a sparking Tom Collins bar at the water’s edge; delicate fresh fruit tarts by The Essex Resort & Spa, a cake styled by Sarah Jo, cheeky lemon accents; classic stationery by Christa Alexandra Designs, message in a bottle place cards; and fresh florals featuring garden roses and locally grown celosia, larkspur, amaranths, zinnias, phlox, and globe thistle.
