From Blue Gardenia Events , Tomorrow is the big day; but, the night before is also a special time. A time where your closest family and friends are just arriving and excited to begin the celebrations! This styled shoot focuses on the night before, the rehearsal dinner. The rehearsal dinner is an often overlooked event – where the bride and groom can take some edgy chances, mix styles and genres, and take some stylish fashion risks. A well-put together rehearsal dinner can give your guests a glimpse of what is to come. They will have to wait until tomorrow for the vows – but, the night before is a time to celebrate that anticipation.
This styled shoot features just such a bride and groom who wanted a rehearsal dinner infused with both of their eclectic styles. His style – industrial, modern edge and Her style – vintage Arte Deco glamour.

More from Blue Gardenia Events, The inspiration for this shoot began with the space itself – a long, industrial warehouse, which just demanded a long dramatic table. The stunning linen from Nuage Linens provided the color palette and a strong Arte Deco Vibe. The place settings are a mix of black, white, and gold accents and feature an etched metal menu with a laser cut velvet paper jacket. A line of crystal chandeliers and crystal candelabras with impossibly long black taper candles amp up the glamour and the drama, while lush florals provide soft layers of texture.
In the lounge area, the drama and the deco elements continue. Behind the vintage sofa is a decoupage wallpaper wall, a unique alternative to a flower wall that is simple to create and allows any bride and groom to use patterns, styles that reflect their unique aesthetic.
The bubbly bar is a perfect entree into our rehearsal dinner and a memorable way to great your guests on any occasion. Here, the bubbly bar also works as an escort card station…what could be better than finding your escort card along with a tall glass of bubbly!
The cake table repeats the wallpaper wall element; but, adds in greenery and florals in a modern take on a floral wall. The incredibly and exquisitely detailed cake is a fresh take on Arte Deco. All of this detail is balanced with a matte sequin black linen (that looks a bit like liquid leather) and a simple cake stand.
Every detail of this rehearsal dinner is infused with style and finesse. It’s formal; but, still fun. And, elegant but still fresh and modern. And, it sets the stage for a weekend of celebrating, getting everyone ready for the big day…until tomorrow. We will all have to wait until tomorrow for the vows – but, the night before is a time to celebrate that anticipation.
