Today’s styled shoot has me convinced that I must renew my vows and have a library wedding. Even if your not a bookworm the inspiration that was brought to life by Ask For The Moon Events at the James J Hill Library in downtown St. Paul, MN will leave you longing for those paperbacks and beautiful hard book covers. The details from the lovely vintage cake by Ganache Desserts and Confections, floral design from Uy-Lennon Floral and Events and paper design by Paper Think Ink, were all inspired by romantic classics. Soft beauty by Onsite Muse and one stunning gown by JenMar Creations are so fitting for that timeless bridal style. The final touches were all brought together by Positively Charmed Custom Ceremonies and Boutique Decor. Come take all the beauty in captured by Carina Photographics.
From photographer Carina Photographics, Our concept was based on classic romance novels such as Gone with the Wind, Romeo and Juliet, and Wuthering Heights. Profiling the library venue, we set up our tablescape to have a backdrop of lovely stacks of books. We also had the couple photographed in more secluded sections of the library. The floral and table arrangements had a tailored feel with feminine accents. We incorporated the soft lighting of globe cafe lights and taper candles. Also tailored and very romantic were the cake and stationery. The cake was stenciled to give it a vintage look and was accented with floral to give it movement. The invitations were extraordinary by incorporating books, including a copy of “Writers in Love”, as well as ribbon and vintage charms. The attire, while more casual for the groom, was exquisitely formal for the bride. Embracing the hoop skirt look of the 1800s, we chose a beautiful ball gown for the dress, surrounded with a “cloud” of tulle, and accented with vintage brooches.
