Let’s take a break from winter and have a look at these tropical Key West engagement photos by Freas Photography!
While those of us in the northeast have been met with a mild beginning to winter thus far, we are just waiting in anticipation for the snow that may be ahead! If there is one thing to take you away from this state of mind these moments are it! This couple will have you booking that late January getaway to your one of your favorite pieces of paradise, wherever it may be! Enjoy!
From Freas Photography, Xiao contacted me a few months back and wanted to chat about having a sunset engagement session. She and Ying were going to be coming to Key West for 2 nights and wanted to get their Save The Dates done in Key West.
We picked Xiao and Ying up at Parrot Key Resort, and headed to a spot I have been wanting to shoot at for quite some time now. The palm trees that line the side of South Roosevelt Drive have always jumped out at me. I like a lot of shots with depth, which gives you that awesome bokeh effect. We pulled over on the side of the road and set up. We were able to use the palms and the distance to get comfortable with one another. We then walked across the street to Smathers Beach to use the jetty and got some killer images.
The light was spectacular, the bench in front perfect. We slammed on the breaks, jumped out, and nailed a couple of my favorite images from the session. We even got photo-bombed in the best way! The best part was the Royal Poinciana tree that was just a block over which provided us a few images, a playground, and a Key West Rooster!
A couple that trusts me to show them around my town, and take images that most photographers don’t utilize. You have to get out of the norm to create!
