There is no denying that there is something very romantic and glamourous about a masquerade ball. This glamorous masquerade wedding inspiration styled shoot from Krystal Zaskey photography offers both the whimsy and enchantment behind a masquerade wedding. The vibrant red floral design from Orange Blossoms Florals and Event Styling set against the gold and black color palette set the stage for an elegant soiree. The Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens in West Palm Beach, Florida was transformed so beautifully you could easily imagine being in the French Quarter of New Orleans. The wedding gown and bridesmaid dress from Bacio Bacio Bridal tied the look together and that wedding cake from Earth and Sugar will leave you dreaming away with an enchanted start to your week.
From photographer Krystal Zaskey, What do you get when you mix a little epic romance and a little gothic glam? This drop dead gorgeous masquerade inspired shoot. We focused on old New Orleans style ambiance as the inspiration to create a luxurious style, but with a slight gothic European flair!
The venue itself is pretty funky! Tucked away in the heart of West Palm Beach, FL The Ann Norton Sculpture Garden offers lush tropical landscapes, water ponds, and superhuman sized sculptures that seem to come to life when your standing next to them. These grounds served as a home and personal studio to the artist throughout her adult life and you feel like you have walked into another world just being there. We featured non-traditional antique rod iron archways, cascading florals, and some very neat masks throughout the grounds. The sunlight piercing through the palms during the time of our shoot made for a very magical ceremony. You can see the whole place seems as if it’s illuminated!
Photographer Krystal Zaskey describes the chosen style, Our models were chosen carefully to represent an alternative yet desirable look to the traditional bride and groom. We traded a clean cut bond type for a more rugged and relaxed groom with vintage threads, complete a with pin-stripe jacket, leather boots and kabbalah bracelets. Our bride we traded the dolled up princess in a ball gown for a more natural looking beauty in a mermaid style gown that flowed with the ambiance of our surroundings. Their mock ring exchange included beautiful antique sterling silver rings.
More from photographer Krystal Zaskey, The true kicker for this seemingly enchanted styled session was the reception site. It was set up in the courtyard of the grounds. Complete with luxurious black velvet table cloths, golden candelabras, hanging chandeliers, imported Italian masks, and blood red roses set amongst moss centerpieces, this reception area would have been a setting anyone would feel glamourous at! The Goth, the glam, the black velvet! OH MY! What’s not to love about this creative and non traditional styled shoot! We just want to show that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We think this Glam Masquerade Wedding is super gorgeous and we hope you think so too!
