I hope you’re enjoying the holiday season! Today we’ve got a unique winter wedding styled shoot that combines elements of nature and glamour. It’s great inspiration for a winter wedding or an engagement shoot. Any of these photos would make a gorgeous holiday save the date! This shoot was designed and captured by Kelsie Millet of Blackbird Photography at Meldrum Christmas Tree Farm in Utah. There are so many beautiful touches. I love the bride’s updo, styled by Celise Artistry and the romantic baby’s breath head piece created by Petal Perfect Floral Design.
From the photographer… I had envisioned what I wanted to do for this stylized shoot and it couldn’t have come to life any better. The vendors that I worked with were absolutely amazing! I feel so honored to have worked with all of them. I wanted to capture something that had contrasted feels, yet made a unity and naturalness between them. For this shoot I took a rustic natural vibe and a glamorous feel to create something breathtaking.
The Christmas tree farm creates that rustic/winter feel as well as the perfectly chosen flowers for the bouquet, boutonniere, and simple floral crown. While contrasted, I chose an amazingly detailed dress, rich fur shawl and glamorous hairstyle. I feel like the contrasted styles compliment each other extremely well in this shoot and I couldn’t be more proud of that.
I hand-picked the models and chose a couple that fit my contrasted feel. The “groom” Mason Hardy fits that more rustic feel with his red hair and scruff. While his gorgeous “bride” Courtney Hardy is naturally beautiful and glamorous. They have been married less than a year and still had that newlywed glow that came through easily in the pictures. If you can’t tell, I absolutely loved this session!
