Happy Halloween! Today is full of treats and definitely no tricks here at Reverie. Be prepared to feast your eyes on this beautiful and elegant Halloween wedding inspiration designed by Kristeen LaBrot Events. As part of the Luxe Linen’s launch this team of creatives came up with a hauntingly pretty theme that would be perfect for the occasion. The Sherwood Country Club in Thousand Oaks, California, was transformed with a mix of berry hues and dripping in gorgeous florals by Rebelle Fleurs Event Design. I am in love with the unexpected green velvet tablecloth by Luxe Linen paired with the china from Dish Wish, rentals and decor from A Rental Connection and 204 Events. Take a peek at all the pretty captured by Michelle Lacson Photography and grab some Halloween inspiration!
From Kristeen LaBrot Events, My art history background was something I drew from- I always loved Memento Mori. It is 16th century Dutch still life. So we brought this theme into the flowers and the whole tabletop with items like the skull, hourglass and clock. The movement says, “We are all going to die, and we should enjoy a beautiful life while we can.” It’s not supposed to be morbid, it’s supposed to be happy. There are definitely death elements on the table, but it supposed to be happy. I went for a purple to contrast the green, because purple was the color of royalty back then, also a nod to the Joker.
During this movement, there was a time that people started to show their wealth more. So we did a little nod to that with the pearls and ornate flatware. I wanted the graphic design to be more modern, to contrast with the vintage items. I’m obsessed with these chairs because they were called Infiniti and they had to rename them as “Phoenix” because of a copyright. I was attracted to the name “Infiniti” because it represented the afterlife-everything worked. The table also includes black candles, candlesticks, medicinal bottles/ apothecary jars on the table from Etsy. The table is a celebration of love and life.
