From Chancey Charm of Ohio, When we visited Maplewood Farms for the first time this past Summer, we knew right away it would be the perfect place to set the stage for our Fall styled wedding shoot. The open fields, the classic red barn, blueberry bushes, and the pond with a wooden bridge transports you to a small island, big enough to hold just enough people for the most intimate “I do’s”. The unity of all of these pieces inspired us to showcase the natural beauty of the farm, creating the ideal fall wedding in Ohio.

From Chancey Charm Weddings, Taking remnants of the barn from years past, we created a long farm table that held white and gold-rimmed plates, gold flatware, and Honey Crisp apples with pennant place cards. Accentuating our dinner table were beautiful pieces masterfully arranged by Kelly from Flowers on Orchard Lane. To the left of the dinner table, we created another table out of salvaged wood where our “naked cake” cake sat. Cake was designed by Syvsoi, pastry Chef with Whole Foods. Surrounded by blueberry and apple tarts, we had to have the classic Ohio treat: peanut butter buckeyes to top it all off.
Outside, we welcomed celebrants with cocktails. Handmade wooden signs boasting, “drink and be married” and “wet your whistle” (hand lettering done by Anshea Martin) , sat propped up near bottles of Apple Pie Mead from Brothers Drake Meadery. As the scene was being set, inside, Kerry Smith of Full Face artistry beautified our wedding party. The bride slipped into her strapless sweetheart lace-covered dress provided by Ivy Bridal, while the groom slipped his Scotch and Soda vest over a white Oxford shirt and grey bowtie provided by Tigertree, a local boutique in Columbus, Ohio. They also dressed the groomsman in a Ben Sherman blue shirt, bowtie, and suspenders.
With the chemistry of our bridal party, the talent of our makeup artist, and mastery of our cake designer, and the generosity of Maplewood Farms, we were able to capture the beauty of every piece coming together. It was quite an extraordinary day! It was a shame no one actually got married.
