From Lance Nicoll Wedding Photography, Kristin and Eymard decided to plan an intimate destination wedding in New Orleans. Inspired by the city’s historic charm, fine art, and their love for French cuisine, they planned an intimate ceremony at St. Alphonsus Church, followed by a seated dinner for 50 guests at August Restaurant.
Kristin held a bouquet of lush blue hydrangea wrapped in rich velvet ribbons. They selected a classic palette of white with French blue highlights to create the perfect setting for their intimate dinner with friends and family. As guests entered the reception they were greeted by a custom seating chart, designed by Weddings By LuLu, to complement crushed iridescent French blue linens. Intricate gold frames displayed table numbers and eucalyptus runners were used to create a lush tablescape.
Vintage gold vases and white candlesticks were used to highlight florals across the reception space. Candelabras drew attention to the fireplace at August, and gold sequin linens were used to accent the guest book and cake tables. The “guest book” was a Polaroid “photo booth” that Kristin and Eymard set-up for their guests to use throughout the reception. By the end of the evening they had a book full of candid shots with personalized messages to go with each one. Their classic cake was adorned with fleur des lis and topped with a custom-made star wars cake topper – Eymard’s one pick.
